Bretherton W.I.

Bretherton W.I. was started in September 2015 in the same year that the National Organisation celebrated it's centenary. This year, 2020, we are celebrating our fifth birthday. Despite lockdown the committee is continuing to meet remotely and is in regular contact with all our members. We are planning events for later in the year. Members are also co-ordinating a village support group and supporting our local businesses. Please click on the relevant links on this page to find out more.

“Inspiring Women” is the philosophy behind the W.I, and in Bretherton we have over 50 members across a wide age range whose enthusiasm has ensured that we are now a central part of village life. Our members share their skills in craft projects, keep fit and active, learn from our varied speakers and events, and above all have a lot of fun together!

When we re-open, do come and join our increasing membership, help to shape our future, and enjoy this new aspect of village life. We meet on the second Thursday of every month in the Congregational Hall Bretherton. Meetings start at 7:30pm.
